administrative and financial assistant

Eduworks Corporation is seeking an administrative and financial assistant for its Corvallis, OR office.

Duties range from:

  • Support the day-to-day bookkeeping process and assist in record-keeping;
  • Organizing digital files, scanning paper files, and ensuring receipts are collected;
  • Assist with Supplier/subcontractor management;
  • Act as a first point of contact for customer calls; and,
  • Scheduler for management and travel agent for the CEO.

A successful candidate will have excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), computer, and online research skills, be detail-oriented, be able to work independently, and be a fast learner. Experience with bookkeeping, travel arrangements, video conferencing software, and administrative office work is required. Hours are flexible with some remote work possible. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Product Marketing / Project Management

Eduworks Corporation is seeking to an individual to develop a marketing campaign and marketing communication materials for commercial services related to www.peblproject.org and to act as a project manager / product owner for select education and training technology projects.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and computer skills and will have demonstrated the abilities to develop and disseminate effective marketing materials; to work with and manage software developers and software development projects; and to quickly grasp and summarize technical details in response to customer needs.

A bachelor's degree, at least five years of relevant experience, and US citizenship or permanent residency are required. Remote work is possible, with some travel required. Reports to CEO and VP for Research & Operations. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full-Stack Developer

Our full-stack developers build custom software applications to showcase and use new technology. Working in conjunction with researchers and designers, they play a critical role in understanding and creating solutions to problems using new algorithms and technology in a wide-range of domains. We use a mix of standard, advanced, and custom technologies, including in-house web-development frameworks and tools, and our developers participate actively in the discussions around technology choices. While most of our current work revolves around building web applications, we occasionally build mobile and IOT applications.

Our full-stack developer position does not require specific experience with machine learning / AI, and natural language processing, but candidates must be willing to immerse themselves in and understand solution domains for products they develop.

We are looking for a candidate with a solid base in computer science, who are looking to build their skills as full-stack developers, including DevOps, master a broad range of technologies, and stretch their limits through continuous learning. Specific languages or experience are less important than the ability to learn independently, desire to learn new skills rapidly, and the tenacity to persist through tough challenges.

Experienced

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar training and experience
  • Full-stack web application development experience, including Java and/or Javascript; at least 1 year of full-time professional experience
  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java and/or C/C++) and data structures
  • Experience with Javascript and HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases
  • Desire for intellectual and technical collaboration, valuing multiple inputs, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively articulate and document technical problems and solutions

NLP / Machine Learning / AI Developer

Our natural language processing and machine learning developers are an integral part of our research and solutions team. This includes adapting existing solutions to new domains and problems, building leading-edge prototypes, and participating in core algorithms research and innovation.

We are looking for a candidate with a solid base in computer science, who is looking to build their skills as a natural language processing / machine learning / AI engineer. In addition to strong computer science fundamentals, candidates should have aptitude and additional training or experience in natural languages / linguistics and/or advanced mathematics.

Specific languages or experience are less important than the ability and desire to learn new skills rapidly, ability to work and learn independently, and the tenacity to persist through tough challenges. For candidates without relevant graduate-level training, the position will require additional senior and graduate-level coursework in natural language processing, linguistics, machine learning / AI and mathematics. Support for ongoing education and training is available.

Experienced

  • M.S, or PhD. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics or similar; or B.S and additional degrees or equivalent experience in linguistics, foreign languages, advanced mathematics or related fields
  • Experience or coursework in computational linguistics, natural language processing, language data processing, linguistics and/or natural language parsing and annotation
  • Experience or coursework in machine learning, AI, or data mining
  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java and/or C/C++) and data structures
  • Strong aptitude and additional training or experience in natural languages / linguistics and/or advanced mathematics
  • Excellent understanding of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage
  • Comfortable working with speech and text language data in multiple languages
  • Interest and ability to learn multiple languages, frameworks, and technologies rapidly
  • Strong conceptual skills; ability to think abstractly
